SantaCon in Appleton, WI

Our event list does not include a 2026 SantaCon for Appleton, so we are not listing a date. A date would need to be confirmed before it could be shown here. If you saw a date elsewhere, verify it before making plans. Meanwhile, other cities have confirmed dates, so look at their pages.

Show up in Santa gear or another holiday look. A single hat can work, but a full outfit fits in better. Dress for the cold with insulated boots, warm socks and a costume that works with a winter jacket. Comfortable shoes matter because you will be walking between bars. Test the outfit at home so you know it stays put.

In Wisconsin, our event data also shows Madison (Dec 5) and Milwaukee (Dec 12). Dates and details are on each city's event page. Traveling for the night? Plan lodging and a way home first. Dates and details can change, so recheck each event page before you travel.

Expect to be 21 or older. The 21-and-over drinking law applies in Appleton just as it does nationwide. The event page is the place to confirm any age requirement the organizer sets. A phone photo of an ID may not be accepted at the door, so bring the physical card. Keep it in a secure pocket so it does not get lost in a crowd.

People dress as Santa or other holiday characters and visit bars together, which is the heart of SantaCon. The format began in San Francisco in the 1990s and has been copied widely. Whether Appleton has an event depends on whether an organizer lists one. Dates announced so far elsewhere are all in December.

Check back on this page, which is where a Appleton event would show up once listed. Searching again closer to December can also turn up listings. Confirmed cities so far fall on December 5, 12 and 19. Until then, dated cities elsewhere on the list are the better bet for planning.
