A SantaCon is a group holiday party where costumed guests move through bars. Different cities run it differently, so formats and rules are not the same everywhere. Whether Point Pleasant has an event depends on whether an organizer lists one. Dates announced so far elsewhere are all in December.

Other New Jersey SantaCon dates currently listed: Hoboken (Dec 19), Jersey City (Dec 5) and Morristown (Dec 12). Compare the event pages to see which date suits you. Rules, perks and routes can differ from one city to the next. Share the event pages with your group so everyone agrees on a city and date.

Costumes are the point: think Santa, Mrs. Claus, elves or anything holiday-themed that you can move around in. Winter weather varies in New Jersey, so choose layers over one heavy piece. Comfortable shoes matter because you will be walking between bars. Test the outfit at home so you know it stays put.

Expect to be 21 or older. The 21-and-over drinking law applies in Point Pleasant just as it does nationwide. The event page is the place to confirm any age requirement the organizer sets. Arriving with your ID in hand speeds up the line. Keep it in a secure pocket so it does not get lost in a crowd.
