A Santa suit is the classic choice, but elves, reindeer, snowmen and festive ugly sweaters blend in just as well. December in Colorado can be freezing, so plan a warm base layer under the costume and bring gloves. Skip costume pieces that are hard to carry or that block other guests. Test the outfit at home so you know it stays put.

Plan your ride home before the night starts, because rideshare demand in Greeley may spike when bars let out. Keep valuables to a minimum, since crowded bars invite lost phones. Respect each bar's rules and capacity limits. Follow local rules about open containers and walking between bars.

It is a costumed holiday bar crawl, with Santa suits and holiday outfits as the common thread. The format began in San Francisco in the 1990s and has been copied widely. Whether Greeley has an event depends on whether an organizer lists one. Dates announced so far elsewhere are all in December.

Plan on being 21 or older, since the event is a bar crawl and the U.S. legal drinking age is 21. Rules can differ by venue, so check the event page for anything specific to Greeley. Arriving with your ID in hand speeds up the line. Keep it in a secure pocket so it does not get lost in a crowd.
