SantaCon in Malibu, CA

At the moment, Malibu has no confirmed SantaCon event in our data. If one is added, it would get its own event page and date. Old SantaCon listings for Malibu may not apply this year. Meanwhile, other cities have confirmed dates, so look at their pages.

SantaCon is a Santa-themed pub crawl held in December in cities around the country. It is commonly traced back to San Francisco in 1994. Whether Malibu has an event depends on whether an organizer lists one. Dates announced so far elsewhere are all in December.

Bar crawls are built around alcohol service, and the legal drinking age in California is 21, so expect a 21+ crowd. Individual bars can set stricter entry rules than the law requires. Door staff make the final call on entry. Do not lend your ID to anyone, since it will not work for them.

Plan your ride home before the night starts, because rideshare demand in Malibu may spike when bars let out. Keep valuables to a minimum, since crowded bars invite lost phones. Pick one person in the group to keep an eye on everyone's ride home. If you are visiting from out of town, choose lodging that is easy to get back to.

Costumes are the point: think Santa, Mrs. Claus, elves or anything holiday-themed that you can move around in. Check the Malibu forecast before you head out; a layer you can remove helps when you move between bars. Skip costume pieces that are hard to carry or that block other guests. Test the outfit at home so you know it stays put.

If an event for Malibu is added to our list, this page and the related event page would show it. The event list is the place to look for new cities. Confirmed cities so far fall on December 5, 12 and 19. Do not make non-refundable plans around a Malibu event that is not listed.

In California, our event data also shows Oakland (Dec 12), Pacific Beach (Dec 12) and Pasadena (Dec 12). Check each event page for the date that fits your plans. Traveling for the night? Plan lodging and a way home first. Dates and details can change, so recheck each event page before you travel.
