SantaCon in Arlington, VA

SantaCon Arlington has an event page, but no confirmed 2026 date came through in our event data. Look at the event page for the current schedule before you plan travel. Cities with confirmed dates on our list fall on Saturdays in December, but that does not set Arlington's date. Hold off on non-refundable travel until a date is confirmed.

Think of it as a holiday costume party that travels from bar to bar instead of staying in one place. The idea started in San Francisco in 1994 and has since spread to cities across the country. Anything beyond basics, such as perks and routes, should be verified on the event page. Going with friends makes it easier, since the night is more fun in a group.

Any ticket options for Arlington are shown on the event page, and nothing here guarantees availability or a price. Buy only through the checkout link shown there so you know you are paying the right organizer. Do not share your confirmation code publicly. Compare any bundle options only after confirming the date matches your plans.

A Santa suit is the classic choice, but elves, reindeer, snowmen and festive ugly sweaters blend in just as well. December in Virginia can swing between chilly and mild, so bring a light jacket you do not mind carrying. Wear shoes you can stand in for hours. Test the outfit at home so you know it stays put.

Venue details for Arlington live on the event page, if they have been released yet. If one bar is a must for your group, confirm it on the event page before you plan around it. Check start information before you head out so you are not hunting for the group. Ask your group to pick a backup meeting spot in case you get separated.

Other Virginia cities on our list with dates: Alexandria (Dec 19), Norfolk (Dec 12) and Richmond (Dec 12). Check each event page for the date that fits your plans. Rules, perks and routes can differ from one city to the next. If you are driving, look at parking and rideshare options near the start point.

Expect to be 21 or older. The 21-and-over drinking law applies in Arlington just as it does nationwide. Bring a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID in case you are asked to show it. Arriving with your ID in hand speeds up the line. Do not lend your ID to anyone, since it will not work for them.
