SantaCon in Burlington, VT

Our event list does not include a 2026 SantaCon for Burlington, so we are not listing a date. That could change if an event is added later, so check back. If you saw a date elsewhere, verify it before making plans. Meanwhile, other cities have confirmed dates, so look at their pages.

Vermont has no dated SantaCon on our list; in neighboring states we have Boston, MA (Dec 5). Dates and details are on each city's event page. Check driving time and parking ahead of time. If you are driving, look at parking and rideshare options near the start point.

Bring only what you need: ID, a payment method, your phone and a charger. Take photos early, while costumes still look their best. Stay with your group when you leave a bar. Never leave a drink unattended.

A Santa suit is the classic choice, but elves, reindeer, snowmen and festive ugly sweaters blend in just as well. December in Vermont can be freezing, so plan a warm base layer under the costume and bring gloves. Wear shoes you can stand in for hours. Test the outfit at home so you know it stays put.

The best way is to return to this page, since an added Burlington event would appear here with its own page. Bookmarking the page helps you spot changes. Confirmed cities so far fall on December 5, 12 and 19. Do not make non-refundable plans around a Burlington event that is not listed.

A SantaCon is a group holiday party where costumed guests move through bars. The format began in San Francisco in the 1990s and has been copied widely. Whether Burlington has an event depends on whether an organizer lists one. Dates announced so far elsewhere are all in December.

Anyone planning to drink should be 21 or older with a valid photo ID, and the event may apply its own limits. Rules can differ by venue, so check the event page for anything specific to Burlington. Arriving with your ID in hand speeds up the line. Keep it in a secure pocket so it does not get lost in a crowd.
