SantaCon in Fairbanks, AK

Our event list does not include a 2026 SantaCon for Fairbanks, so we are not listing a date. If one is added, it would get its own event page and date. Treat older posts about SantaCon in Fairbanks with caution, since their dates may be out of date. Meanwhile, other cities have confirmed dates, so look at their pages.

No Alaska city has a confirmed SantaCon date on our list at the moment. Each city has its own event page with its own details. Rules, perks and routes can differ from one city to the next. If you are driving, look at parking and rideshare options near the start point.

SantaCon is a Santa-themed pub crawl held in December in cities around the country. Different cities run it differently, so formats and rules are not the same everywhere. Not every city has an event each year, and Fairbanks is covered on this page for that reason. Dates announced so far elsewhere are all in December.

Plan on being 21 or older, since the event is a bar crawl and the U.S. legal drinking age is 21. Individual bars can set stricter entry rules than the law requires. Never drive after drinking; plan a ride before you go. Do not lend your ID to anyone, since it will not work for them.

Plan your ride home before the night starts, because rideshare demand in Fairbanks may spike when bars let out. Charge your phone fully before you leave home. Be kind to bar staff, who handle large crowds on a busy night. Follow local rules about open containers and walking between bars.

A Santa suit is the classic choice, but elves, reindeer, snowmen and festive ugly sweaters blend in just as well. Winter weather in Alaska can be harsh; choose a costume that fits over a coat or add thermal layers underneath. Comfortable shoes matter because you will be walking between bars. Test the outfit at home so you know it stays put.

New events are published as event pages, so a Fairbanks page would appear if the city is added. Pages that exist today can change as organizers confirm details. Cities with confirmed dates currently all fall on December Saturdays. Until then, dated cities elsewhere on the list are the better bet for planning.
