Our event list puts SantaCon Tacoma on Saturday, December 12, 2026. Saturday, Dec 12 is the date to share with your group chat. The event page is where schedule changes would show up if the date or timing moves. Add the date to your calendar now so the weekend does not fill up.

The Tacoma event follows the SantaCon tradition of festive costumes, a crowd in holiday gear and a night out across bars. The idea started in San Francisco in 1994 and has since spread to cities across the country. The Tacoma event page holds the details that apply to this city. Going with friends makes it easier, since the night is more fun in a group.

The start location and bar list are best confirmed on the event page; we will not guess at venues for Tacoma. Do not rely on posts from earlier years, since bars and routes can change. Save the event details to your phone before leaving home. Ask your group to pick a backup meeting spot in case you get separated.

Plan on being 21 or older, since the event is a bar crawl and the U.S. legal drinking age is 21. If your group includes anyone under 21, check the event page before you plan around them. Door staff make the final call on entry. Do not lend your ID to anyone, since it will not work for them.

A Santa suit is the classic choice, but elves, reindeer, snowmen and festive ugly sweaters blend in just as well. December in Washington can swing between chilly and mild, so bring a light jacket you do not mind carrying. Comfortable shoes matter because you will be walking between bars. Test the outfit at home so you know it stays put.

Treat the event page as your checklist and read it fully before you go. Keep valuables to a minimum, since crowded bars invite lost phones. Stay with your group when you leave a bar. Follow local rules about open containers and walking between bars.
