Other Florida cities on our list with dates: Jacksonville (Dec 12), Miami (Dec 12) and Orlando (Dec 19). Dates and details are on each city's event page. Rules, perks and routes can differ from one city to the next. Share the event pages with your group so everyone agrees on a city and date.

Think of it as a holiday costume party that travels from bar to bar instead of staying in one place. It runs casual and social, with plenty of photo-worthy costumes in every bar you step into. Treat this page as a starting point and the event page as the source for the particulars. Going with friends makes it easier, since the night is more fun in a group.

Plan on being 21 or older, since the event is a bar crawl and the U.S. legal drinking age is 21. If your group includes anyone under 21, check the event page before you plan around them. Arriving with your ID in hand speeds up the line. Do not lend your ID to anyone, since it will not work for them.

A Santa suit is the classic choice, but elves, reindeer, snowmen and festive ugly sweaters blend in just as well. Warm weather is common in Tallahassee in December; a lightweight costume will be more comfortable than a full wool suit. Comfortable shoes matter because you will be walking between bars. Test the outfit at home so you know it stays put.
