Dayton SantaCon is a ticketed Christmas bar crawl for adults in Santa suits, elf outfits and reindeer gear. Check in once, collect your wristband and visit participating bars at your own speed, with deals offered by those bars. Dayton was founded along the Great Miami River, and its Oregon District is one of the city’s historic neighborhoods. Your digital map lists the bars taking part, so you do not need to guess at a route. Once your ticket is confirmed, the event information names the check-in venue, shows the bar lineup and lays out the schedule.
Everything important, without the wall of text.
The essentials that make this SantaCon crawl easy to join and fun to explore.
Dayton’s participating bars are confirmed in your event information and on the digital map, so use that list. Lineups can change, and every bar sets its own deals. The Oregon District is one well-known neighborhood, but the map, not the neighborhood, decides your route.
From booking your pass to enjoying the final stop.
Choose the Dayton ticket for your group and check out online. Sales are final, so double-check your plans first.
Present a valid government-issued photo ID at the confirmed check-in venue to collect your wristband and map.
Work through the participating bars in your order, ask about the event deals and keep your wristband on.
Finish when your group is ready. Anything planned for the end of the crawl will be in your event information.
The essentials for planning your Dayton SantaCon
This page covers a ticketed crawl with a wristband and participating bars. Other holiday gatherings in Dayton are separate, so confirm which event you are buying before you check out.
Look to the event details on this page and your ticket information for the confirmed date, start time and check-in window. Until those appear, nothing about the schedule is set.
The confirmed check-in venue is named in your ticket information. Start there, because the wristband and digital map are handed out only at check-in.
Your ticket includes an event wristband, entry to participating bars, bar-offered deals and a digital crawl map. Cover drink costs yourself, because none are automatically free.
Bring a valid government-issued photo ID, since the minimum age is 21. Keep the physical card with you, as bars may check it apart from your wristband.
Plan on cold. Average winter highs sit around 41 degrees with lows near 27, and Dayton's winters are described as cold. Layer up under the costume and wear warm shoes.
Not necessarily. The Oregon District is one historic Dayton neighborhood, but your participating bars come from the event map. Follow that, and plan a ride home in advance.
Groups are welcome to ask. If 20 or more of you are coming, the form near the bottom of this page covers discounts, VIP perks, reserved check-in and private party packages that may apply.
Pick your pass and get ready to join the party.
