Location

Gainesville SantaCon is a ticketed Santa bar crawl. Costumes are the dress code, the wristband is your pass, and the participating bars set their own deals while you move between them at whatever pace suits your group. Gainesville is home to the University of Florida, and Regional Transit System buses serve the city and Alachua County from a downtown station. Your digital map shows the stops, so the route stays in your pocket. Where to check in, which bars take part and how the schedule runs will be in your event information after confirmation.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The essentials for planning your Gainesville SantaCon

What is Gainesville SantaCon?

A costume bar crawl with tickets. You wear a Santa look, check in for a wristband, and visit participating Gainesville bars. This page covers the ticketed crawl, which is separate from other local gatherings.

When does Gainesville SantaCon start?

Unconfirmed for now. Date, start time and check-in details will be given in the event details on this page, alongside the information that comes with your ticket.

Where is check-in held?

The venue is named in your ticket information after it is confirmed. Wristbands and the digital map are handed out only at check-in, so start there rather than at a bar.

What does a ticket get me?

Think wristband, participating-bar entry, bar-set deals and a digital map. Drinks are not automatically free, and tiers can differ, so check the description on the ticket you choose.

What ID will I need?

Anyone attending must be 21 or older and carry a valid government-issued photo ID. Bars can check ID on top of the wristband, so keep the physical card handy all night.

Is Gainesville cold enough for a coat?

A jacket is enough. Average holiday-season highs reach about 69 and lows about 45, so the evening is the cold part. Put a warm layer under the Santa suit.

Do Gainesville buses go downtown?

Regional Transit System buses serve Gainesville and Alachua County, and Downtown Station is a hub where many city routes begin or end. Check current routes before depending on a bus for the ride home.

Is there a discount for big groups?

Ask us. If your party is 20 or more, discounts, VIP perks, reserved check-in and private party packages may be available; the group form lower down is the place to ask.
