Location
San Antonio SantaCon is a ticketed holiday bar crawl for guests 21 and older. Check in, pick up your wristband and move through participating bars in Santa gear, using the deals those bars offer and a digital map for navigation. The River Walk winds through downtown San Antonio, lined with shops, bars and restaurants, and VIA Metropolitan Transit buses serve the city if you want to leave the car at home. Winter here is mild, but cold fronts bring cool nights. Check your event information once it arrives, it names the check-in venue, participating bars and final schedule.
Everything important, without the wall of text.
The essentials that make this SantaCon crawl easy to join and fun to explore.
Participating San Antonio bars are confirmed in your event information and marked on the digital map. Lineups can change, and each bar sets its own specials, so the latest map is the one to trust. The River Walk is lined with bars and restaurants, but your route follows the map, not the district name.
From booking your pass to enjoying the final stop.
Select a San Antonio ticket, check out online and remember sales are final, so settle the plan and headcount first.
Bring valid government-issued photo ID to the confirmed check-in venue; your wristband and digital map come from the staff there.
Roam participating bars at an easy pace, ask about event deals and keep the wristband on.
Wrap it up when the mood fades. Whatever is planned for the end of the night appears in your event information.
The essentials for planning your San Antonio SantaCon
Yes. This is a ticketed holiday bar crawl with a wristband, participating bars and a digital map, so you need a ticket in hand before you join the crawl.
Your ticket and event information name the confirmed check-in venue. Start there, because wristbands and the digital map are handed out only at check-in.
Fair ask. The ticket gets you a wristband, a way into the participating bars, bar-offered deals and a digital crawl map; drinks themselves are not automatically free.
Yes, 21 and up. Guests need a valid government-issued photo ID, and the physical card matters because bars check ID apart from the wristband.
Check the confirmed check-in window in your event information before you plan a late arrival. You need your wristband before using participating bars, so do not skip check-in.
A Santa suit, elf outfit or reindeer gear all work. Winters are mild, with highs in the mid 60s and lows in the low 40s Fahrenheit, so pack a light layer and comfortable shoes.
VIA Metropolitan Transit buses serve San Antonio, but with drinks involved a rideshare or taxi is the safer plan. Decide on your ride home before the first drink.
